英语听力是不少考雅思的同学们的短板，但它在整个英语学习中的重要性却是第一位的。对于万年听力只考5.5分的童鞋，可能都不知道雅思听力究竟考察的内容是什么！

今天通才教育的柴老师就通过两道题 (剑桥10 test2 section 4) 来找出问题的答案。两个题目都很简洁，可以先做答案推测

32. increase in power of large ____ companies.

读题：increase in power是权力的上升，of large __ companies是指大的……公司。这道题我们必须猜测increase 有哪些同义词，large有哪些同义词，companies 有哪些同义词。

答案句：At the same time, mergers and takeovers mean thatgovernments are actuallylosing power tomajor global corporations. 

解析：

1 .merger 合并；Takeover 收购；

2.losing power tomajor global corporations：权力到了major global corporations手里，也就是说major global corporations的权力上升了（increase in power）;

3.major=large；Corporations = companies.

Major global corporations = large global companies;

所以答案是global;

33. Rising ____ in certain countries.

读题：rising（上升的），in certain countries（在一些特定的国家）。我们要猜测rising有哪些同义词，certain countries有哪些同义词。

答案句：A third point I want to make about markets is that inthe rapidly expanding economies, such as India, China, Brazil and Russia,demand is growing very fast. 

1️.听力材料中说到了India, China, Brazil and Russia这些国家，其实对应的是题目中的 in certain countries.

2.growing=rising.

所以答案就是demand. 

由此可见，雅思听力考察的内容就是同义词替换。当我们看到company，就要想到可能的同义词 business, corporation, firm；看到rising，就要想到可能的同义词increasing,growing.

因此各位同学做完题之后，需要整理每一篇section里的同义词替换，有针对性的去复习，提升做题正确率。
